When I was in high school and college, I would come home every Thursday evening and watch the Thursday night line up on NBC with my mom. We loved Friends and Frasier and Will & Grace. In the last season Will & Grace got a little melodramatic so I stopped watching it. However, those first 6 seasons were hilarious.
When they decided to bring it back this year, I was cautiously optimistic. I thought that it might be just a little too crazy to be good. It would have the sentimental aspect of a well-loved show, but the chemistry and the storylines would no longer be there.
I'm so so so happy to say I was wrong. This show makes me just so darn happy every Thursday. These 4 actors have talent and chemistry in spades, and magic happens when they're together. The show isn't attempting to recreate them at all. They're the same people they were, but they have the benefit of experience and age, which gives them a whole new world to play in.
They can tackle new story lines and new issues in politics and government. In the last 3 weeks, this once-groundbreaking show proved that it can still be current, and still address issues that are important and should be talked about. Tonight's episode was all about the horrendous practice of conversion camps - trying to turn children from gay to straight. It's a disgusting practice, but it was covered in a way that was sweet and funny, and it starred 2 lovely actors who just happen to be gay. It was a tough subject to tackle, but they managed to knock it out of the park.
Each and every Thursday I watch this show, it just makes me smile. It gives me a chance to chat with my bestie afterwards because she's as equally obsessed as I am. It's a tremendous cast of characters, and I'm so happy it's back on my television - for what I'm hoping is a long, long time!

Friday Five
1. I LOVE the fact that This is Us received so many Emmy nominations. If it were up to me, everyone would have been nominated from that show. However, it was good to see that 4 of the stars and 2 of the guest stars were nominated, and the show itself. Now here's hoping they all win - even the guys nominated in the same category. A tie could totally happen!
2. I know it's being burned off, but I really do enjoy the show Doubt. The cast is awesome, and I'm pretty sure it would have done a little better with slightly better writing. It's even got a pretty compelling storyline, that I'm hopeful we'll get to see the conclusion of.
3. I'm fairly certain that the books on my nightstand have this conversation with my lamp each night. Too funny!
4. While I was in England, I fell in love with Ham4All. These videos of people singing songs from Hamilton were our nightly fun. After each day of seeing the sights, we'd come back to the hotel, and go on Twitter just to see who had posted what that day. Such a fun and easy idea! My personal favorite was Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
5. I'm loving scrapbooking my England photos. In a Creative Bubble is my favorite designer and all of her fun designs are really making the book super simple and super adorable! Now if my darn ink would just arrive from Amazon, I could finish printing my photos...

Friday Five
1. I love Brandon Uranowitz. I love his personality and his talent. I even wrote about how much I love him (even though I'm a starstruck weirdo). He's super talented and I think he's been my favorite discovery of this season. So I was pretty happy when this video came out this week of him singing his 3 bucket list songs. His Marriage Proposal is always fabulous, and I've never heard Parade before, so while that was lovely, I wasn't fascinated. What I adored was his take on the song from Company. He absolutely nailed it. I have no idea how he sang it so well and so quickly. I'd be tongue tied after the first few notes. Amazing! (If you just want to see that song, it starts about 2:30)
2. This is the best possible news! I am hooked on Miranda. Friday Five
1. After 4 shows at 54 Below over the last year and just as many awkward encounters there, I've decided that it's my very favorite concert venue. I'm planning to avoid all other venues now in favor of this beautiful supper club : ) So fun!
2. Usually Melissa McCarthy doesn't really make me laugh. I'm sure she's a lovely person, but her brand of comedy isn't my thing. However, when does "Spicey", she makes me howl with laughter. It cracks me up! So when I saw that she was "casually driving around Midtown on a motorized podium dressed as Spicey" I could not stop laughing. Every time I see the little Instagram video, I start giggling.
3. I may sound like a broken record, but I've told everyone I know to watch the show Speechless because I'm just in awe of it. It's funny and sweet and most of all it handles disabilities respectfully. But they also realize that living with loved ones with issues is just a part of everyday life. Everything about this show is perfect and to see it get a second season, was such a happy surprise. It was the only new show I was worried about. None of the others have the same heart so I'm so happy that it'll be around for at least another year - though I have a suspicion it might be a bit longer.
4. Netflix is doing a 10 episode prequel of The Dark Crystal!! This is not a drill, people! I cannot wait to have more Froudian creatures on my screens. Now, once this show amazes and astounds, they'll just have to do a follow-up to Labyrinth, right?
5. Now that I've got the AC on and it's working well, I can finally say that I'm happy to see the sunshine and the super hot temps back again in Maryland. I hate the winter, and the 45 degree "spring" days were not my cup of tea. I'm liking the 80-90 degree days because it means summer is just around the corner. Thank goodness for that!

Life Lately
As for my little corner of the world, things are fabulous. I've spent the last hour trying to hash out just how much I loved BroadwayCon in blog form for BroadwayWorld. I don't think I'll be spoiling anything when I say, I LOVED it. But it seems that I only have one blog post in me per day, so that's why I'm taking the easy way out and going with a Life Lately post here.
Watching: I've been watching a lot of Girls on HBO. I never really thought a show that's basically a hipster version of Sex & the City would be for me, but it's hilarious. Of course, now that I like it, it's ending in a month. So I'm super sad about that.
Reading: Since I told you all about the books I read last night, you know what I've been reading. Currently at this particular hour of the day, I'm reading "The FairyTale Girl." Another by Susan Branch and the prequel to "A Fine Romance" that I read last week.
Creating: Still plugging away at Project Life and that's it. I haven't made a card in weeks. I really should get on that.
Dreading: Don't judge me, but I still haven't taken my Christmas stuff down, and I really need to be doing that this weekend. Ugh.
Planning: England for next summer - I know Brexit is awful and I really do feel for the Brits, but it's actually affordable for us Americans to escape to Britain for a bit now. Finally!

Life Lately...
However, I've been focused on a few things that have been swimming around my brain for the last week or so. These are those things ("dun dun" a la Law & Order - I crack myself up!)
I've been reading Miranda Hart's biography. Now I know I've just finished gushing over her show, but I'm on a bit of a Miranda Hart kick because honestly, she's the only person that states pretty much everything I'm feeling. Like I said before, she's a 6 foot British version of me. She's awkward and sarcastic. She finds utterly ridiculous things funny. She never knew what to do with her life and she still feels like she doesn't. She's not married and doesn't have kids even though she wants both. Hearing her say these things makes me feel like I'm not so odd.
I've also been watching a fantastic show on the CW called No Tomorrow which is about a guy that thinks the apocalypse is coming in 8 months, so he's been fulfilling his bucket list. He meets a girl that's always played by the rules and gets her to start adventuring as well. First off, I need a guy like this in my life (especially if he's as adorable as the dude in this show...). Second off, I need more excitement in my life - which is really nothing new. But it bears repeating.
Lastly, I've been reading a lot about book arts and letterpress. I'm not sure I knew they were even a thing until a few years ago, but they seem like something I should know about. As someone with as many books as I have, you'd think I would have put 2 and 2 together to come to making books, but as it turns out I'm a little slow on the uptake. I've now found 2 printers in the Baltimore area that offers classes on these awesome art forms. Now I just need them to post their schedule for the winter when I'm really uninspired to do anything but curl up under the covers, so I can get my butt into gear!
So there's life lately - a life spent mostly in my head these days.

Pondering
On an ordinary Wednesday in October, when nothing much happens, I ponder a lot. Some would say I could use a more exciting job. I would say however, that my job is just exciting enough and sometimes you just need to ponder life's great questions, such as...
~ Why have I read at least 3 stories today about Christmas decorations? It's October 5. Is it really time to start thinking about Christmas? I think not! Yesterday, in Michaels the Halloween decorations were plentiful but they were in an aisle right next to Christmas ribbon and wrapping. Seriously? I've not bought a single thing, nor do I have any ideas. Do they really think that people have not only bought their gifts but have started wrapping them as well? Let's get through pumpkins and turkeys first please.
~ I'm most curious about the Facebook friend that's posting tonight about how lovely her daughter's Catholic school is and how lucky she and her family are to have such great Catholic values and to learn from so many wonderful Catholics. This same woman and her friends were criticizing Tim Kaine on Facebook last night for the pin he was wearing. How dare he wear a Blue Star pin in honor of his Marine son rather than an American Flag. Don't you know that you could see Pence's flag quite clearly - this apparently makes him more fit to hold the office of VP in bizarro 2016 campaign world. Who knew?
~ How exactly should I go about deciding on what to charge for the books and DVD's I'm selling this weekend at the yard sale? And more importantly, am I doing the right thing? Is getting rid of books ever the right choice?
~ Since watching "No Tomorrow" (a fabulous new show on the CW all about having a bucket list and starring the cutie that played Galavant - not that I'm shallow or anything...), should I have a bucket list? Should there be more exciting things on it than travel around the world or fly a plane or get married? Should I want to sky dive or bungee jump? And if I should want to do those things, should I pop some serious Xanax first?
~ Why is the theatre that is being used for Hamilton in London, already draped in Hamilton finery when the show doesn't open in London until November 2017? Shouldn't they use the theatre for what it's worth until that time instead of just teasing the city of London with Coming Soon's? And while we're at it, don't the theatre gods know that I plan to be in London in July 2017 and shouldn't Hamilton have opened in the summer instead of waiting for November?

Friday Five: Premiere Week Edition
I love me some summer TV but I love when the regular TV comes back. That means summer's over, but it also means all sorts of cool old stuff and fun new stuff is coming on. Yay! So these are my top 5 premieres of the season.
1. NCIS - As always, it was NCIS. I thought I'd hate it without DiNozzo, but Jennifer Esposito and Wilmer Valderama fit right into the team. Also, any excuse to see more of Agent Fornell and I'm a happy camper!
2. This is Us. - I wasn't really looking forward to this one, but I do admit I really enjoyed the big twist! I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen it yet, but it's pretty great. The best thing about this show is the cast. Everyone in it seems perfect for their roles.
3. The Good Place - It's a fairly ridiculous concept, and I have no idea how it's going to keep going, but I have to admit, it's pretty clever. My favorite part is that no one can curse in heaven. There's a lot of "forks" and "shirts" happening which is hilarious.
4. Speechless - I've been anxiously awaiting this one since I heard about it. A show that actually gets special needs right. It was funny, clever and very sweet. I can't wait to see where it goes next.
5. Lethal Weapon - As someone who's never seen the movies, I was a little skeptical about this one, but after the first hour I'm hooked. Clayne Crawford - who plays Riggs - may just be the standout of this season. He's so much better than he has to be for just a procedural. It's nothing to write home about but it is super fun!

Hump Day
I have been wracking my brain for the last hour trying to think of something to say and I've come up with nothing. This day just wasn't all that exciting. I have lovely things to say tomorrow and Friday, but today there's just not much to talk about.
I mean, I could talk about Brangelina breaking up (Team Jennifer all the way!) but honestly every single news site is covering that whole sad story pretty thoroughly so there's not much to add.
I could talk about how I loved the season premiere of NCIS much more than I thought I would and actually didn't miss Dinozzo as much as I assumed I would. I also didn't really enjoy Bull with Dinozzo (aka Michael Weatherly) completely. I'm fairly sure it will get better because George Washington (aka Chris Jackson) is in it too, so you really can't go wrong. But that's not interesting at all because who really cares about my love for all things NCIS, Hamilton and Michael Weatherly?
I could talk about how I received an email from someone today asking me if I'd write an email for her because she was much too busy to do it herself. But apparently she wasn't too busy to write the initial email to me. That's nothing but darn annoying - not interesting in the least.
Or at the very least, I could talk about how a woman at work has lent me a series of Nora Roberts books about something Irish and Mystical, and I really don't want to read them at all. However I feel bad because she loved them so much and I'm assuming she's going to want to talk about them so I'm going to try to read them - even though I have a stockpile of 12 books on my shelf right now that I actually want to read instead. But really that's also not at all that interesting - just par for the course when it comes to me.
So you see, today was just a normal hump day where nothing at all happened...

1. Talk about making the best of a bad situation. I'm in love with the idea that she decided to use creativity to kick Cancer's butt. What an awesome way to take control and make art! You go girl!
2. A few months ago, it was announced that Bette Midler would be starring in Hello Dolly! on Broadway in 2017. Then it was announced that David Hyde Pierce would be starring along side her. Then today, they broke the bank by announcing tickets are going on sale tomorrow AND Gavin Creel & Jennifer Simard would also be in the production! Holy great casting Batman! I predict the tickets will go as quickly as Hamilton...
3. This little guy going bonkers for the dog park is just the cutest! For the record, I react much the same when I see a bookstore or a scrapbook store...
4. Little Miss Flint's reactions to President Obama and Donald Trump perfectly sum up my reactions to them both. I'm fairly certain her facial expression when meeting Trump, mirrors the sane people in the US that can't even fathom 4 years of this moron.
5. Next week, new TV starts! Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of summer tv, but it's all pretty much over now so I'm ready for the good stuff. I'm looking forward to checking out Bull, Speechless, and Designated Survivor. As well as old favorites like NCIS'es, Big Bang Theory and Madam Secretary. Yay for no repeats!

Friday Five
1. Love, Love, Love Cigna's new ad! So cute!
2. Is it too early to start asking for Christmas gifts? Because if it isn't, this Tardis watch is so totally on my list.
3. A pet peeve of mine is when people say that a specific breed of dog - like Pit Bulls or Rotweillers - are evil or dangerous. Like every single one of these dogs are just ticking time bombs waiting to go off. It's ridiculous. And these adorable photos prove it!
4. As I write this, I'm sitting here watching Stand Up To Cancer. What an incredible movement for an umbelievably good cause. Science has done so much and by raising funds for to let these researchers work, is so very, very needed. We can be the ones to end this horrible disease if we can just get a little more involved with the movement.
5. I'm a huge fan of the fact that in 17 hours I'll FINALLY be seeing Hamilton! So darn excited!!!!!

Scandalous
I never really got into the Criminal Minds thing - it's too dark and too violent. But I do know Thomas Gibson because he used to be on Chicago Hope, so to say I've been fascinated by the story of his firing last week, is an understatement. I sort of hate myself for being riveted by such a scandalous story, but oh well, here I am. As the story goes, he was first suspended then fired for allegedly kicking a writer on set.
What first got my attention is the kick itself. Whose first instinct is to kick? Don't most men punch first? Now, I'm more focused on the aftermath. His former costar Shemar Moore is saying his firing is "karma." What the heck does that mean? We need more information people! And lastly, Thomas Gibson has now lawyered up. It's all so strange! And yet I'm reading about the darn story at least once a day since it happened... Maybe I'll stick to books from now on - All the drama, none of the scandal.
What first got my attention is the kick itself. Whose first instinct is to kick? Don't most men punch first? Now, I'm more focused on the aftermath. His former costar Shemar Moore is saying his firing is "karma." What the heck does that mean? We need more information people! And lastly, Thomas Gibson has now lawyered up. Friday Five
1. Last weekend I pretty much did nothing but read. I was in love with the 2 Jenny Colgan books I had and just couldn't put them down. If you're a lover of England and puffins I'd definitely suggest reading "The Little Beach Street Bakery" & "Summer at the Little Beach Street Bakery." I shouldn't have been surprised these were so good, since I haven't disliked a book she's written yet.
2. Though I haven't seen Hamilton yet, I have been rocking out to the soundtrack. And one storyline that has made me wonder was the life of Hercules Mulligan. In the show he's a tailor who spies on the British for the Americans and helps a great deal in the battle of Yorktown. I had never heard the name before so I wasn't sure he was real. As it turns out, as the CIA shared in a whole blog post this week, he's very real and he really was one of the US's first spies. Considering what he accomplished you'd think we'd learn more about him in school!
3. After an incredibly difficult week here in the United States, it's good to see so many people choosing love instead of violence. "Love is Louder"
4. Unfortunately, Royal Pains signed off for good this week. While I will admit it's a fairly corny show, it definitely had its moments. And even though the finale wasn't perfect - it wasn't even splashy - everything was tied up in a neat little bow which made fans happy. However, I'm still holding out hope that we'll get an Evan/Paige or just Jeremiah spin off. I'd totallly be down to watch these 3 characters for a very long time. They're the ones I'm going to miss! (Though, now that Royal Pains is gone, Suits can start and that definitely makes me happy!)
5. I think everyone could use a laugh this week, and for some reason (even more than when I watched it the first time) this made me laugh out loud. HA! (For the record, that's exactly how I feel about eating meat - Yum!)

Three for Three
Today is a day that I have 3 things that I'm gushing about and have posts running through my head about all 3. Granted, one is much more important and serious than the other 2 but all 3 are quite post-worthy on their own. So I've decided to just write about all 3. I'm sure you're super excited...
~ We'll get the most important one out of the way first. At this very moment, a group of Democratic congressmen and women are staging a sit in to force a vote on gun control. I'm astonished by this simple act of rebellion on their part. It's powerful and hopefully it'll be useful to call members to action. I'm equally astonished (in the other direction) that not only has Paul Ryan blocked the cameras from recording it, but he's also asking his followers to retweet a message claiming the sit in is a "stunt." When did politicians get so slimy and unprofessional? They're using Twitter now as a way to disagree on matters of legislation? Disgusting! I'm very much in favor of gun control and back these members 150% in what they're trying to do. #NoBillNoBreak
~ Ok, now that the important stuff is out of the way, I can gush a bit. First in the gushing category is Hamilton, mostly because I: A. Haven't gushed about it in a while and B. Work with boys who could care less about anything theater related and they roll their eyes when I try to gush at work. So even though I fangirl a lot about Hamilton (as does everyone else on God's green earth) I've been attempting to avoid the music. I know a few of the more famous songs that they use for news stories and things, but I had never listened to the album all the way through. I wanted to be surprised when I finally got to see it in September. But due to some cajoling, I decided to give it a listen. And now (expectedly) I'm hooked. It is as good as everyone says it is, it might even be better. Every line, every note, every intonation is perfect. I can't even imagine the amount of energy that Lin Manuel Miranda spent writing this masterpiece. He really and truly does deserve every bit of credit he receives. Also, it's hard not to love a guy that does this...
~ Last gush of the day belongs to the amazing and heart breaking final episode of Person of Interest. I will admit to not understanding every single thing that happened in the show over the last 5 years, but I have loved all the characters and the writing, oh so much. It was so groundbreaking when it came out, and it was one of the only shows that really kept me on the edge of my seat from week to week. To see it go was pretty sad. But, I'm so glad they were able to get a final run to tie up all the loose-ends. And while my favorite, (Spoiler Alert!) John didn't make it out alive, he died rescuing his friends, who all survived to fight another day, even Bear their adorable canine mascot/6th member of the team. All of that makes me hopeful that one day in the near future, we'll get a re-boot and get to see what the team's been up to a few years from now. (And if that reboot could possibly be a prequel so we could see John and Root again, that would be fabulous...)

Finales are Terrible
Here's the deal, I hate series finales. I wrote all about it a few months ago. I like to avoid them at all costs, mostly because they tend to make me cry. I'm not even the biggest fan of season finales, because that's the time they choose to leave everyone on a cliff by killing well-loved characters. It's a total racket. And being the smart and well-adjusted human that I am, I stick my head in the sand and pretend that no deaths, injuries or retirements happen. It makes things a lot easier, even if it's not completely sane.
However, there are some shows I just need to see the end of. Shows that I've loved and respected. Shows that have never let me down. Shows that I know are much too civilized to actually kill someone in a dramatic fashion in the final episode. Shows like Friends, though I'm still sad that's not still on the air or ER where death was a common occurrence so eventually it was just par for the course. Or shows like The Good Wife which has been phenomenal for 7 years. I've enjoyed pretty much everything about the series: the writing, the characters, even the cases that they managed to make interesting and not completely off-the-wall like some other legal programs.
After 7 amazing years, I owed it to myself to watch the final episode. Not only watch it, but watch it live so I didn't spoil anything for myself today by reading reviews. That's a big commitment from me. I was risking the possibility of crying over something terrible happening. Not good. But, I had faith that it would be just as compelling and well-written as every other episode had been over the course of the years. Yeah. Not so much. It wasn't just bad. It was terrible!
Spoiler Alert...
The only thing I liked was getting to see Will Gardner again. As a Marylander I'm a huge Josh Charles fan since he's a MD boy. And when his character Will died, I was heart-broken. But in the final episode we got to see his smiling face again, which was a big shock but a fantastic one to say the least. But that's about the end of things I loved. No big questions were answered. Characters were completely changed from how they acted over the 7 years to fit in with the story line. Alicia didn't even get to ride off into the sunset with the all too dreamy Jason. Who, granted, I only wanted her to ride off with, because Jeffrey Dean Morgan is all too adorable and honestly who wouldn't want to jump his bones? But I digress...
It was just such a shock to see something I loved so much, end so abruptly. I'll miss this show every week, because there will never be better writing or acting on television. But I will try desperately to go back into my hole and pretend this whole finale thing never happened. Now, I have a brand new reason for my hatred of finales - bad ones!

Smash-ed
I may be a few years late. And it may be completely unrealistic. And it may be completely cliche, but I'm totally falling for Smash. I can totally see why real theatre people hated it. It's a little melodramatic, and a little - ok, a lot! - but it's very Broadway-ish, which is also awesome!
You can't deny a show about Broadway, that includes tons of actors that have actually been on Broadway. And the music is just absolutely gorgeous! I can get behind Katherine McPhee doing something like this. She's not so hot on Scorpion but on this she's fantastic. She and Megan Hilty are beyond talented - what I wouldn't give to have their voices.
My only complaint is that Debra Messing is playing a horrible person. I know she's supposed to be the main character - isn't she supposed to be likeable? Why is she such a terrible human being? She has a lovely husband, a great writing partner, works on Broadway and lives in NY - why does she nag and complain so darn much?! But other than that, the show is just so darn good.
I thought people at the time that were going on and on about actually creating Bombshell for the stage, were a bit mad. But after hearing the music, I'm sort of hooked. I'd totally buy a ticket in a heartbeat!

Friday Five
1. "The Real O'Neals": I had my reservations about it, but seriously, it might be the very best comedy to hit television in a while. It's hilarious! Just so good!
2. I totally could have written this list on BuzzFeed about how awesome Hamilton is. Of course, since I haven't seen it, I have no idea if I'll even like it. I mean, let's be honest here, everyone LOVES Hamilton so it's a good chance I will. But I've definitely done every one of these things : )
3. Fish are Friends, not Food: This just makes me smile. I love Bruce in Finding Nemo, so I happen to think this shark is adorable - well, as adorable as a shark can be.
4. After having today off to shop with the mama at the outlets, I've come to the conclusion that if I could have off every Friday, I'd be a much happier human being. However, I'd prefer to happen without having to work 10 hour days Monday-Thursday...
5. My new most favorite Twitter account is @Pres_Bartlet. I know he's a fictional president created by Aaron Sorkin, but he's the most entertaining character on Twitter. This week alone, he's chatted with Lin Manuel Miranda, spoken intelligently on how terrible Trump is (always a great way to my heart) and has shared the love for his beloved Notre Dame in the NCAA playoffs. All the while being hilarious!

Friday Five
1. I finally found a great way to organize, edit, and print photos from my phone for scrapbooking purposes. Don't get me wrong, I love Costco, but it's just so much easier to do this all from home! Editing starts with the awesome Pic, Tap, Go which makes getting pretty pictures as easy as a few clicks. Then it's onto PicFrame so I can combine 2 3x4 photos into 1 4x6. Then it's off to the Canon Print app so I can print from my new fave toy - the Canon Selphy. In an hour tonight, I managed to get all the Belgium photos printed, cut and put into an album. Now I just need to embelish and move on to the rest of England. I love technology!
2. These Broadway themed Valentines from the casts of Something Rotten! and Hamilton are just adorable. They are the best part of a single, Valentine-less Valentines day.
3. Sometimes, you can go down a YouTube rabbit hole and find all sorts of amazing things. This was the product of one those Rabbit Holes. So cute!
4. I've never been such a fan of A Chorus Line - what can I say, apparently I don't like the classics. But this song is beautiful and this version is gorgeous!
5. I'm absolutely loving Life in Pieces on CBS. It started out a little slow, but it's finally hitting its stride. This week's Valentine's themed episode was pretty much perfect. I know it's not Modern Family, but it's definitely getting there.

Snow Day Viewing
I had sort of planned to talk about the debates tonight - however, whenever I start to discuss them, I get myself all worked up. Trump just makes my blood boil! Anyway, due to the snow and while trying to save myself the stress, I'm choosing to talk about something more fun - television. Thanks to the snow storm, I've gotten quite a lot of extra time to watch this week. These are my top 5.
1. Suits: I was so darn happy to have this back on my television this week. The show could have been ridiculous thanks to a so-so premise, but each season it seems to get better and better. I love the characters. I love the humor. I love the stories. I love everything about it. Not to mention, Harvey Specter is fairly dreamy : )
2. American Crime: Honestly, I tried to watch it last season but just couldn't get into it. This year, I tried again, mostly because I'm a big Tim Hutton fan. And I'm so glad I did. It's just so, so good. The one single storyline from different perspectives has been done before, but the chosen story this year - an attack on a boy at an elite private school - is too real to look away from. It's scary in a way that could actually happen, which is what makes it so compelling. Also, every single actor is completely perfect in their role, particularly Felicity Huffman and Regina King.
3. Legends of Tomorrow: It's good, but it's not as good as I want it to be. I'm mostly watching because Rory from Doctor Who is the main character, and Jesus from Godspell is in it as well (Victor Garber.) Both are wonderful! But time travel with the added confusion of comic book lore, completely loses me sometimes. Love the humor, though their time machine is nowhere near as cool as the TARDIS.
4. Face Off & Top Chef: I'm not a reality show fan, but I'm partial to crafty and food. That's why these 2 are my favorites. Both shows have really strong casts this year, and I'm completely torn as to who I want to win. The creativity that all the contestants show always astounds me. If all reality shows were this good, I'd watch a lot more of them!
5. Galavant: I was completely in love with this show last season and was very excited to see it get a second season. Though since it came back after Christmas, it's been good but not as good as last year. That is, until this week. This week it was particularly hilarious. From the healer Neo of the town of Sporin, to King Richard's new love, every line was perfect. Unfortunately, it now only has one week left in the season. Hopefully, we'll all get another surprise and get to see it again next season - fingers crossed!

Christmas 2015
What I Love About Christmas 2015:
~ It's about 65 degrees here in Maryland. At the moment, they're predicting it'll be 75 on Christmas day. Last year, it was in the 30s and flurrying on Christmas Eve. Oh yeah, this year's weather is so much better!
~ Every single one of my Christmas cards was handmade and made it out the door in a timely fashion. I may have epically failed at all the other crafts that were dancing around my head, but the cards were super cute and on time.
~ "Greensleeves" by Manheim Steamroller - I'm so loving this techno version of the classic. My grandfather's organ could play this song at the press of a button, so it doesn't hurt that each time I hear it on the radio I have warm fuzzy thoughts of him.
~ Bright red nail polish - My nails may not be long and manicured like they're supposed to be, but for me any little bit is an achievement. They were just begging to be painted with a Christmasy color.
~ The I Love Lucy Christmas special. I just love seeing the old shows pop up on television. Nothing can beat her comedic timing. And honestly, if you don't laugh at Vitameatavegamin, you have a cold dead heart.
~ Waiting anxiously for family to open the presents I've picked out. If I could give them the gifts right now I would. I may stress and mumble and generally fall apart in December, but every once in a while, I have a spark of inspiration!
~ Trying out December Daily has been super enlightening. I'm not going to lie and say that I'm completely up to date - I think I've made it to December 11 - but I do plan to finish. I've taken photos and notes of what to include, and after Friday, I have plans to get back on the ball. It's not nearly as gorgeous as other's I've seen, but so far I'm happy with it.
What I Hate about Christmas 2015:
~ Apparently the Sun didn't get the memo that it was 65 degrees. It's been raining, more like pouring for the last 24 hours and it's supposed to continue doing so through tomorrow. Do you know how difficult it is to transport gifts in a torrential down pour?
~ My either defective or possessed Christmas tree, that refuses to actually need water. The whole house smells like pine which isn't a bad thing, but the darn needles are falling at an alarming rate and when I check for water, my fingers come out a slightly reddish hue - obviously, it's the devil, right?
