#Ashtag

There are definitely things that happen at Catholic Schools that don't happen anywhere else.  You remember these things on these important holy days.  Ash Wednesday was always the day that the kids were so excited to compare their ashes.  Who had the biggest cross?  Whose was darkest? (I did say this only really happened in Catholic Schools...) My favorite part of the day always happened at the end (Please remember I'm saying this as a teacher), when their parents would come to pick them up.  They would always; ALWAYS forget for a split second that it was Ash Wednesday and brush away the "dirt" on their child's forehead.  This always occurred to obvious wails and Oh Mom's!  Oh, well. Good Times : )
