Trivia Tuesday

~ You never realize just how much you rely on seeing the question as well as hearing it, until the HDMI cable breaks and you aren't able to see the questions on the screen for the entire evening.  Focusing on someone reading a question while there are about 5 other tvs showing major sporting events and people talking at all the tables is a major pain in the neck!  Long live HDMI cables!

~ You also never realize how enjoyable being in first place is until you go for weeks on end without earning it, and then on one surprising evening you finally get it.  Yay! I mean, the last half wasn't pretty again, but apparently it wasn't pretty for anyone so at least there's that.

~ When there is a question on Mark Twain AND a question on Hank Williams, it helps to have 2 people on the team that took a road trip to Hannibal, MO and the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TM this summer.  Thank goodness for small favors!

~ When you get a question on the number of circles that make up Audi's logo, it's fate really when an Audi pools up right outside the window you're currently sitting next to.  I mean, honestly we had the answer correct, but it never hurts to verify.

~ Justin Tucker - while being absolutely and completely awesome - does not currently hold the record for all time FG kicks over 55 yards.  That's some dude named Sebastian Janikowski or something that sounds a lot like that - I told you not being able to read the questions is hard!  I suppose we Ravens fans are just a bit biased in favor of our super duper kicker!

~ Super great moment - When the Stevie Nicks super fan (definitely not me!) gets to answer a question on Fleetwood Mac.
Super not great moment - When the Question-asker doesn't choose to play Fleetwood Mac after the question (I believe the phrase "She will cut you..." was uttered : )

~ The Eiffel Tower consists of 2.5 million rivets.  I feel like I could have known that if the darn Eiffel Tower tour to the top hadn't been sold out the day I was there.  Also, my guess of 4800 - feeling that since it was an engineering marvel, maybe it took a whole lot less than we thought - was completely off. Can't blame a girl for logic-ing.

~Ouagadougou is the capital city of Burkina Faso.  That just seems like a lot of vowels to actually make up a name.

~ The Thomas Hobbes book that is required at MIT and Stanford is not A Discourse on Reason (which is not only not a thing, but actually just a combined answer from 2 team mates - but really?  doesn't it sound plausible?) but in fact, Leviathan (which apparently is not just a made-up Supernatural bad guy...)

~ Lastly, when I left the bar, the Cubs were beating the Indians 7-0 so Go Cubbies!
