In Defense of Auto

Because today was the day before Thanksgiving, and there wasn't anyone at work so therefore nothing was going on, I used my time productively: by browsing Pinterest of course.  While surfing, I read quite a few articles on Manual Photography since my ultimate goal is to get there...eventually.  However, I'd like to take this time to advocate for the complete opposite: Let's hear it for Auto!  After test shot after terrible test shot, I've investigated what I've taken.  

It turns out that just having a good camera is the beginning to some pretty great pictures. Yes, you'll not be called a real photographer and you're not getting the chance to really get creative and crafty.  But those shots you do get, are pretty awesome!  Even if I do say so myself.  So if you're like me and can't really get the hang of all the bells and whistles just yet, don't worry.  The pre-programmed bells and whistles will have you feeling like Annie Liebovitz in no time.
