Summer Days

For the most part, I'm a HUGE fan of summer.  I spend 3/4 of the year freezing, so for 3 months, it's actually quite nice to be hot and sweaty.  But there are a few things that are really quite annoying.  Ridiculously petty in the long run, but annoying nonetheless...

~ The annoying little birds that have found their way to my deck and like to tweet at 4:30 every single morning.  If they follow the same pattern as last summer, they'll be gone in about 2 weeks.  But for now, they are the worst alarm clock ever!

~ Having to paint my toenails.  I don't go for pedicures.  They totally freak me out but I do go for flip-flops.  So to wear them, I have to have semi-cute toes.  I say semi because my painting skills rival that of a 3 year old.  

~  The smell of hot asphalt.  They've just re-paved my office's parking lot and you can't go anywhere near the place without gagging on the smell of baking asphalt.  Eww!

~ Crazy Humidity Hair.  It may not be quite as bad as Monica's but it's almost there.  It's not quite as big, but it's pretty darn stringy.
                               
But for all it's annoying little issues, Summer does have watermelon, sun, tomatoes, heat, beachy days and starry nights, vacations and long hours.  It's already pretty much perfect so if I have to deal with some annoyances, I think I will.  Bring on the heat!
