In theory, I don't believe in ghosts, ghouls or goblins. I like to think that angels and faeries exist only because I know there are still surprises and wonder in the world, and angels and faeries are the best way to explain those phenomena. But ghosts, not so much. Let the record reflect though, that I've actively avoided every horror movie ever made and plan to do so for the foreseeable future. I know they're not real, but it doesn't make them any less terrifying.
Why am I going on about random supernatural occurrences, you may ask. It's because since last week, when I learned my hotel in Boston is extremely HAUNTED, I've been freaking out ever so slightly (and a little not so slightly). What the heck?! Haunted?! Had I not learned this little piece of information, I'd be super happy to be staying in such an historic and beautiful hotel. But since learning on Wikipedia that the elevator stops at floor number 3 randomly, for example. Or that people have reported meeting a man in the hallway with a top hat or an old woman that disappears, I've been a basket case.
I believe in things I can see. And seeing that I've never actually viewed a ghost, I don't believe we'll actually see one. But that's so not to say I want to see one either. If they do exist, I'm more than happy to continue to live in my fantasy world where they don't.
Is it wrong, that when scrolling through Pinterest the other day, and I saw the exorcism from Supernatural, I almost saved it just in case I might need it, you know, you can never be too careful....?
