~ Apparently, while margaritas make my head spin, having one greatly increases the number of questions I answer correctly in a single night. I suppose that's the upside of having a crappy day and needing a drink.
~ Reading ridiculous click-worthy articles on Twitter, such as the average price the tooth fairy paid in 2014 per tooth ($3.19 by the way) is a great way to win your team shots (toss-up questions gain your team shots if you're the team that's closest to the answer) Unfortunately, A - the shots looked like pool water and B- I don't do shots. Can't they offer free cake? That I'd be all over!
~ While reading click-worthy stories helps with some questions, it only really helps if you retain that information. For instance, I also read an article on the number of people that die each day in China because of air pollution. I remembered 11 for some reason - the answer was 4400! First, that's horrible! Second, why did I retain more about the tooth fairy than thousands of people dying every day?
~ My love of Notting Hill gave us 40 whole points in the final question. However, everyone else seemed to love Notting Hill as well, so in the long run, it didn't really help...
~ Penn is an Ivy League College - Who knew?!
~ A vomitorium, while being a totally horrendous word, is also the name of the entrance to an arena in ancient Rome. Why, Why, Why is that a thing? It's a terrible no good very bad word!
~ My love of food shows as well as my dad's love of hot dogs, finally paid off. We got the Chicago Dog question correct. And BTW, we were all equally grossed out by its ingredients.
~ We finally got a Friends questions - that I had no idea about. Luckily, another team mate is an even bigger Friends freak than I am.
