Happy Midsummer!

"If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber'd here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend:
if you pardon, we will mend:
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearned luck
Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long;
Else the Puck a liar call;
So, good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends."

-Puck's final monologue
"A Midsummer Night's Dream"
* William Shakespeare

Author's Note: "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is the only work by the Bard I've ever understood. (Although I wish it weren't the case, he's one of those brainy things that I really should understand...) I'm pretty sure my fascination with it may have something to do with the faeries...Love faeries! I'm a closet (and sometimes not so closet) sci-fi geek.  Can't get enough of Stargate, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc.  I tell you all of this, just so I can say:

Happy Midsummer Eve!
