Simple Pleasures

Today was the very first truly wintry feeling day.  I had frost on my windshield when I got to my car this morning.  It was grey and overcast all day long.  Had it been a bit colder, I would have said it was going to snow - it was just that color outside.  And currently it's about 40 degrees and pouring down rain.  That's the kind of day most of Maryland had.  

I, on the other hand - aside from the ickiness of actually having to go to work - had a fabulous day.  Maybe it's the 30 days of thankful happy cloud that's talking, but I'm pretty much loving November.  How can you not, when you actually manage to snag tickets to the show that you've been trying to snag tickets to for like a month?  That's right, after months of sold out shows, the creators of Hamilton released more tickets this morning, and I managed to get a pair.  Wahoo!  Now, of course, I have to wait 10 months to actually see the show, but honestly, it will be worth it.  

My only fear is that Lin Manuel Miranda won't be in it anymore by that time.  It's a seriously taxing show, and after 17 months of doing it, I'm sure he'd be worn out, as would the rest of the cast.  But my fingers and toes are crossed.  

On top of that awesome-sauce, @HamiltonMusical on Twitter liked my tweet about snagging the tickets and I finished my Christmas cards this evening.  Honestly, I'm not sure how this day could get any better.
