Trivia Tuesday

~ As a former teacher, on a team full of teachers, I say this with authority: Teachers are the worst listeners on the planet.  I say this because today is Teacher Appreciation Day and because of this, there were tons of teachers at the bar for their half off meals.  This was the LONGEST trivia game we've ever played.  Also, after tons of instructions one team, on the very first question tried answering a loud instead of using the slips of paper they were holding.  Pay attention people! : )

~ If we were to ever get a Doctor Who question as hard or as frequently as the Star Wars questions we get, we'd be set for life!

~ A regulation bowling alley, according to the quiz people and the Google, is 60 feet long.  I'm completely against this number and am not convinced this is true.  Doesn't that sound much too long?

~ Turns out, that while we all love the Ravens, the O's and the Capitals and can tell you loads about those particular teams, we are fairly useless answering questions on any other sports or teams. When the entire round is full of sports questions, we can basically just sit that round out.

~ Our Friends loving team finally got a Friends question.  And while it was nice to see a question on our favorite show, we would have been much happier to see a more challenging question.  Seriously, what character's last name is also a cherry?  That's just WAY too easy!  (Chandler Bing in case you haven't seen every episode a fafillion times like we have.)

~ There are 775 rooms in Buckingham palace.  All I can think of when I hear this number is, that the cleaning staff must be super grumpy.  Because I'm pretty testy and I only have 4 rooms...

~ Krypton is a real thing that's really on the periodic table and isn't just the place where Superman came from.  Who knew?!

~ Sometimes a ridiculous topic, like should student athletes be paid a salary, can erupt in a heated debate at one end of the table that the other end is completely unaware of.  I'm super happy that I was on the end that was unaware.
