After a long while, I had the time to spend with my niece Natalie today. And as par for the course, she was on fire. I can definitely tell she's turning into quite the little lady, but she's still able to crack me up with just a few words or just a funny face. She had some good ones today.
After telling me about how she saw a big boat on the way to school this morning.
Me: A big boat, huh? Was it a cruise ship?
Nat: Yep, I think it was.
Me: Cool beans! I've never been on a cruise before.
Nat: Oh, can you take me on one?
While cooling off in the car after a hot hour on the playground - after standing on the front seat, with her head popping out of the sun roof.
Nat: Ok, Aunt Kris, now drive...
After discussing the ice bucket challenge.
Nat: I don't think I like cold water on my head. No thank you.
While discussing her Uncle who's currently out of the country right now.
Me: Has Uncle Tim sent you a postcard yet?
Nat: Nope, he's just a silly pot.
And my personal favorite:
After discussing the seriously impressive moves she was managing to accomplish on the monkey bars.
Me: Those were some awesome moves! Did you learn those in gymnastics?
Nat: No, I've been doing those for years...
Love that little one to pieces!
