Wishful Wednesday

With all this talk of back to school, it's starting to really sink in that summer is just about over.  After all this mild weather (60s in July!), we never really experienced the serious heat and humidity that we usually have. So it really hasn't been the summer we had hoped for.  It was nice, don't get me wrong.  There were delicious things to eat and a nice vacation too, but as much as I hate to complain, I miss the heat.  

I don't want the crazy 300 degree constant we had last summer, but some 90 degree'ers would have been nice.  I absolutely LOVE summer and HATE the winter, so if I'm wishing for anything right now, it would be for it to be June again when the entire summer was laid out in front of me.  I know it's only August, and we still have September and October to live through before it gets really cold, but just the thought of the chill in the air and dark mornings, is pretty darn depressing.

You wait all year for summer, and it's over in the blink of an eye, which is the real bummer.  Come back fresh fruit, and long days of sunshine.  Come back beach time and books galore.  Most importantly, come back summer, please. I'm not ready for you to leave just yet!
