I work for a cyber company, but I don't understand a bit of what the Cyber-experts at said company say most of the time. They speak at a level that's WAY above my head. I smile and nod and put on a good show, but I literally have NO idea what they're saying. Now that I've gotten that out there, you may understand a little more about where I'm coming from when I say - HOW in the world do naked pictures of celebrities keep getting hacked?!
Let's put aside the fact that these people are actually still taking the pictures in the first place (They're ALWAYS hacked - STOP taking them!). But I really want to know how. Like how does someone wake up decide to putter around their keyboard for a while and then release naked pictures of celebrities (and I'm sure non-celebrities alike) to the universe? I mean I understand that hackers are pretty darn smart but with that kind of talent, don't they have better things to do with their time? Can't they use their super-powers for good instead of evil?
On to another complex computer question stirring in my little head, what in the world is "malware"? A friend received an CD this week filled to the brim with malware. From what I can tell, it's a lot of numbers and letters all thrown together. How does one even create something like that without infecting their own system? For the record I only know that the CD was filled with this malware because the super-smart computer people I work with found it and did something to it so it didn't infect the whole network. Is this also something hackers create? And if it is, I'd like them to see my original point - go do something useful!!
These are the questions that are swimming through my non-tech, all-languagey brain when the super dudes at work start walking and talking their magic. So, as you can seem to save myself from ridicule, it's probably best for me to keep my mouth shut. Computers are so overrated anyway....
