Maryland Minute - Carrol's Creek Cafe

Of all the places in Maryland, Carrol's Creek Cafe is one of my most favorite.  When I tend to love restaurants, it's usually because the food is stellar.  However, that's not the case with Carrol's Creek.  For a while now, they've had a Sunday Brunch Buffet, full of all sorts of foods, from breakfast staples to seafood specialties.  And the food has always been good, but it's most definitely nothing to write home about. 

A few weeks ago, they announced that people were tiring of the buffet, but still wanted a brunch. So they decided to unveil an a la carte brunch menu, with some of the favorites that were on the buffet along with some new additions.  While the food now is delicious, it's still not amazingly fantastic.  

You see, the best part of Carrol's Creek and the reason I tell everyone to go there when they're visiting from out of town, is the gorgeous view of Annapolis Harbor.  The view from their patio of all the boats in dock, is the very picture of Annapolis.  It's the perfect place to enjoy some coffee (or tea if you're so inclined) and just watch the boats go by.
