~ Apparently, when I want to, I can pull some random answers from the deep dark depths of my brain and they can actually be correct. For instance, did you know that during WWII, pilots called UFOs Foo Fighters? Apparently I did. Every one looked at me like I had 3 heads, but their guesses weren't any better than mine so we went with it. Turns out, I'm pretty good at WWII Fighter Pilot History.
~ An entire category revolving around Sylvester Stallone was never going to end well for our team that consisted of 3 gay guys and 2 straight girls...Suffice it to say, no points were won in that round.
~ I should learn to fight for my answers a bit more. The Finger Lakes are in NY. I was pretty sure of this, however, everyone else said Minnesota so I went along with it. That one stung!
~ When your team members are a Phd, 2 M.A.s and 2 Teachers, there is going to be lots of conversation of Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee and its merits to literature. (I felt bad admitting I'd never read To Kill A Mockingbird...) Of course, when your team members are also geeks, there is going to be much discussion of the merits of Seinfeld vs. Friends as well.
~ Lastly, some people are just ridiculously good at Trivia and win every single week. We are not those people : )
