~ When did these yearly games start appearing in London? I get why they're doing it - they want to promote the National Football League outside of the US. It makes sense. But somehow I don't think the Brits have the same fascination with football as Americans do. But, while we're on the subject, when are the Ravens going to get their chance and most importantly, how do I win some tickets to that game?
~ Whenever the Ravens play a team that they're "sure to beat" they wind up losing...losing ugly. That's just the way it is. I personally think they get cocky but I suppose it could be for some other reason as well. Honestly, how do you explain a team that won its last 3 straight games, losing to a team that lost their last 3 straight games? It's embarrassing.
~ While I happen to appreciate the "No More" ads in respect to domestic violence awareness, it would have been a bit more appropriate had they started appearing before all the Ray Rice madness rather than in response to it. The ads are a good step forward but it just proves the NFL was a pretty out of touch before the Rice case happened.
~ Man there were some seriously high scoring games this weekend! My personal fave was the NE-Chicago game: 51-37. At one point I think the poor Bears were down by 30 points. I'm not such a fan of the Patriots so it's nice to see the Bears could at least make them work a bit harder towards the end there.
~ While getting to attend the game last week was all sorts of fun, I have to admit the food is SO much better at home - Homemade Pretzel dogs and cheese sauce. Yum!
~ I'm all for honoring the past and giving credit to those who came before you. But, really? Are horizontal yellow and black stripes attractive on anyone besides bumblebees?
