I love books. I love browsing bookstores for hours on end. I like having book shelves full of them. I even like having to buy more bookshelves due to the overabundance of books I have. I love children's books and pick them up whenever I'm travelling somewhere. I read fiction, mysteries, travel, chick lit, fantasy and pretty much everything in between. The one thing I don't do, is read them on an eReader.
I like holding them in my hand. I like seeing how many pages there are and how many pages I have left. I love being able to read my book anywhere I am, and not have to worry about whether or not there's wifi or battery life.
So the last few years, while everyone has been predicting the death of books, I've been quietly sitting here, hoarding while I can. But today after reading quite an interesting article on Huff Post, I'm jumping for joy. Apparently, in the first half of 2014, print books outsold eBooks by a large margin. Ha! Finally a win for the non-techies! Take that eBooks! I'll just be sitting over here celebrating quietly, with my nose buried in a book most likely : )
